A delegation visit to World Expo 2025
Institute of Directors Japan Business Group
From 7–11 July 2025, the Institute of Directors (IoD) Japan Business Group led the City of London’s sole trade delegation to the Osaka Expo 2025, aiming to strengthen UK–Japan business relations and explore new opportunities. This high-profile delegation brought together senior business leaders for a strategic programme of events and networking.
To support this mission, I designed a fully digital, bilingual brochure featuring both English and Japanese translations. The brochure presented the delegation’s objectives, itinerary, and key information, tailored for digital platforms to ensure smooth readability and visual clarity for audiences in both countries.
My role, process and execution
I worked closely with the Japan Business Group's Chair to deliver a comprehensive suite of materials supporting the delegation, including the digital brochure, social media assets for promotion, and printed badges for the event.
The bilingual format with English and Japanese translations was my initiative, designed to ensure clear communication with audiences in both countries. To enhance usability, I hosted the brochure online to leverage interactive elements such as clickable buttons; this was a key challenge, as I needed to find a practical solution to incorporate dual-language content seamlessly. After exploring options, the final approach successfully balanced interactivity with ease of navigation for users.
